Denim Doll Day 2023

Dzisiejszy #monday4dolls jest połączony z inną lalkową okazją - #DenimDollDay. Odbywa się on już po raz czwarty, a wypada w ostatni poniedziałek stycznia. Jest to dzień, w którym w miniaturowej garderobie króluje oczywiście jeans. Co więcej, organizatorka tego wydarzenia - Iza (@bella_belladoll) - ogłasza również listę uczestników kolejnej edycji Traveling Doll Pants. 

Zawsze czekam na ten dzień niecierpliwie. Spodnie, które uszyłam specjalnie na to wydarzenie, podróżują po świecie już czwarty rok! Staram się nie przegapić ani jednego miejsca, do którego jadą. W projekcie biorą udział kolekcjonerzy z całego świata (spodnie były już m.in. w USA, Kanadzie, Brazylii, Australii, Japonii oraz w wielu miejscach w Europie).

Na wstępie podrzucę kilka linków, które być może będziecie mieli ochotę odwiedzić:

Zapewne zauważyliście, że brakuje jednej daty. W 2021 miałam początkiem roku przerwę w blogowaniu i wpisu na ten temat brak.

Today's #monday4dolls is paired with another doll occasion - #DenimDollDay. It is celebrated for the fourth time, and it falls on the last Monday of January. This is the day when there is a lot of denim in a miniature wardrobe. What's more, the organizer of this event - Iza (@bella_belladoll) - also announces the list of participants of the next edition of Traveling Doll Pants.

I always wait impatiently for this day. The pants that I sewed especially for this event have been traveling around the world for the fourth year! I try not to miss a single place they go. Collectors from all over the world participate in the project (the pants have already been in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan and many places in Europe).

You may have noticed that one date is missing. In 2021, I had a break from blogging at the beginning of that year and there is no entry about this day.

W tym roku do ekipy w jeansach i innych jeansowych uszytkach dołączyły panny petite oraz... panowie. Nie powiem, że wreszcie i nareszcie, ale tak. Doczekali się. ;)

Oto jak moja ekipa szykowała się do pamiątkowego zdjęcia.

This year, the crew in jeans and other denim clothes was joined by petite ladies and... gentlemen. I won't say finally and ultimately, but yes. At last. ;)

Here's how my team was getting ready for a commemorative photo.

Jeansy, które ma na sobie moja Minie Me (Millie BMR1959) to dokładnie takie spodnie jak te, które podróżują dookoła świata. 

The jeans my Minie Me (Millie BMR1959) is wearing are exactly the kind of pants that travel around the world.

Większość ubrań, w których dziś pozują moje lalki, uszyłam w ciągu ostatnich miesięcy. Lub tuż przed dzisiejszą okazją. Ale są i takie oto egzemplarze, jak np. spodnie, które ma na sobie druga Millie BMR1959. To jeden z prototypów nowego wówczas wykroju, który powstał 5 lat temu. A jako prototyp, w dodatku wymagający dopracowania, został u mnie. A że w kwestii lalek i lalkowych ubrań bywam sentymentalna, to postanowiłam go użyć jako element "jeansowej historii". ;)

I have made most of the clothes my dolls wear today in the last few months. Or just before today's occasion. But there are also such items, such as the pants that second Millie BMR1959 is wearing. This is one of the prototypes of the then new pattern, which was created 5 years ago. And as a prototype, in addition requiring refinement, it stayed with me. And since I tend to be sentimental when it comes to dolls and doll clothes, I decided to use it as an element of a "denim story". ;)

Chętnych do zdjęcia przybywa. Trzeba poprzestawiać wszystko, aby każdy zmieścił się w kadrze. Tym razem jest komu przenosić ciężary. ;)

There are more and more dolls willing to pose for a photo. Everything have to be rearranged so that everyone fits in the frame. This time there is someone to carry the heavy things. ;)

Tym, którzy zaglądają do mnie od czasu do czasu, zapewne wpadł w oko blondyn - jako nowość w mojej plastikowej bandzie. Tak, tak. Zgadza się. To mój najnowszy nabytek jeśli chodzi o panów. Od dawna chciałam dołączyć któregoś chłopaka z serii Looks do męskiej części lalkowej ferajny. Ale ponieważ akurat w tym przypadku jestem bardzo cierpliwa i nie ponosi mnie z nieplanowanymi zakupami - czekałam spokojnie na jakąś okazję. I taka też się trafiła. Blondyn nie uszczuplił mojego portfela, więc lubię go tym bardziej. ;)

Zaczynając więc od prawej - blondyn z serii Barbie Looks z numerem 5. Ma on nowy mold, który nazywa się Sean. Podoba mi się jego zarost, natomiast ubolewam nad fryzurą. Mattel z uporem maniaka robi panom albo plastikowe hełmy na głowach, albo rootuje ich bardzo oszczędnie. Co widać doskonale na załączonym obrazku, bo tak się złożyło, że wszyscy trzej mają "wygolone" boki.

For those who visit me from time to time, the blond one probably caught the eye - as a novelty in my plastic bunch. Yes, yes. That's right. This is my newest acquisition when it comes to men. For a long time I wanted to add one of the guys from the Looks series to the male part of the doll crew. But because in this case I'm very patient and I don't get carried away with unplanned purchases - I waited calmly for some opportunity. And that's what happened. Blondie didn't deplete my wallet, so I like him even more. ;)

So, starting from the right, the blonde from the Barbie Looks series with number 5. He has a new mold called Sean. I like his beard, but I regret his haircut. Mattel stubbornly makes men either plastic helmets on their heads or root them very poorly. Which can be seen perfectly in the attached picture, because it so happened that all three have "shaved" sides.

Na środku rudy Jamie (Ken BMR1959, headmold Tate). Przed tą sesją zdecydowałam się nieco ujarzmić jego niesforną grzywę, bo nie byłam w stanie ułożyć jej w żaden sposób. Skończyło się na cięciu.

A po lewej Harley (Ken BMR1959). On z poniższej trójki ma najdłuższy staż w Kameliowej Pracowni, występował już nawet jako król oraz samurai. ;)

In the middle red haired Jamie (Ken BMR1959, headmold Tate). Before this session, I decided to tame his unruly mane a bit, because I wasn't able to style it in any way. It ended up being cut.

And on the left Harley (Ken BMR1959). Out of the three below, he has the longest internship in Kamelia's Atelier, he has even performed as a king and a samurai. ;)

Ponieważ zimy się już chyba w tym roku nie doczekam, postanowiłam iść w wiosenno-letnie kreacje. Wykorzystując jeden z moich ulubionych wykrojów uszyłam sukienki z wzorzystego jeansu. Zarówno w rozmiarze standardowym, jak i plus. Od lewej Silvana (Holiday Barbie 2016), Barbie Looks #1, headmold Lina (jeszcze nie dostała imienia) oraz Morgana (Barbie Looks #11).

Since I can't wait for winter this year, I decided to sew spring-summer outfits. Using one of my favorite patterns, I sewed dresses from patterned denim. Both standard and plus sizes. From left: Silvana (Holiday Barbie 2016), Barbie Looks #1, headmold Lina (not named yet) and Morgana (Barbie Looks #11).

I kolejne rudowłose panny, Kate (Mattel, Lady Tremaine, Cinderella series) oraz Brigitte (The Barbie Look City Shine Purple Dress) w błękitnych szmizjerkach - ta sukienka pasuje każdej lalce.

And more redheads, Kate (Mattel, Lady Tremaine, Cinderella series) and Brigitte (The Barbie Look City Shine Purple Dress) in blue shirtdresses - this dress suits every doll.

Wróćmy jednak do przygotowań i przemeblowania. ;)

To i owo | This and that

Dziś w sumie prawie same powtórki, jeśli chodzi o kreacje, ale chciałam Wam pokazać kilka zdjęć. Na wstępie dwie ognistowłose panny - Morgana (Barbie Looks #11) i Brigitte (The Barbie Look City Shine Purple Dress) - w miętowych swetrach. Uszyłam też ostatnio kilka par jeansów w ciemniejszym odcieniu niebieskiego, a jedne z nich ma na sobie Brigitte. W tle nowa ściana, którą wytapetowałam. ;)

Today, all in all, almost the repetitions only when it comes to creations,, but I wanted to show you some photos. At the beginning, two fiery-haired ladies - Morgana (Barbie Looks #11) and Brigitte (The Barbie Look City Shine Purple Dress) - in mint sweaters. I also sewed a few pairs of jeans in a darker shade of blue recently and Brigitte wears one of them. In the background a new wall I wallpapered. ;)

Owa "tapeta" to papierowa torba na prezenty, której wzór bardzo mi się spodobał i postanowiłam ją użyć do lalkowych celów. Jestem ciekawa, jak będzie prezentować się w miniaturowym wnętrzu.

This "wallpaper" was a paper gift bag, the pattern of which I liked very much and I decided to use it for doll purposes. I'm curious how it will look in a miniature interior.

Lily (Barbie BMR1959 Claudette) i Grace (Barbie Fashionistas #180) prezentują ubrania w rozmiarze "petite" - wreszcie zrobiłam wykrój na spodnie dla maluchów. ;)

Zrobiłam również dodatki dla Królowej Zimy (w tej roli Barbie Looks #6, Victoria) - kołnierz ze śnieżynkami oraz wyszywany koralikami pas. Ponieważ nadal nie doczekałam się pięknego śniegu za oknem (coś spadło, ale na to od wczoraj leje deszcz i nie odważyłam się wyjść z lalkami na taką ciapę...), więc znów przed Wami zimowa sesja domowa.

I also made accessories for the Winter Queen (Barbie Looks #6, Victoria, in this role) - a collar with snowflakes and a belt embroidered with beads. Because I still haven't seen the beautiful snow outside the window (something fell, but it's been raining on it since yesterday and I didn't dare to go out with the dolls on this "something"...), so here's the winter home session again.

Ta pogoda ogólnie jest przedziwna. W zeszłym tygodniu zrobiłam zdjęcia niemalże wiosenne - tak, dobrze widzicie, tam za Brianną (Raccoon Doll Anthemis Daisy) widać wiciokrzew, który właśnie wypuścił nowe liście.

This weather in general is weird. Last week I took almost spring photos - yes, you see right, behind Brianna (Raccoon Doll Anthemis Daisy) you can see a honeysuckle that has just put out new leaves.

A to - uwaga, uwaga - róża. W styczniu. Z takimi pąkami... Przyroda zwariowała. A najgorsze jest to, że po tych wysokich temperaturach przyszły nocne przymrozki i to coś, co z braku innej nazwy określę śniegiem. Wszystko teraz przemarznie i będzie masakra. Dosłownie.

And this is - attention, attention - a rose. In January. With such buds... Nature has gone mad. And the worst thing is that after these high temperatures came night frosts and something that, for lack of another name, I will describe as snow. Everything will freeze now and it will be a massacre. Literally.

Wracając do lalek. Brianna pozuje w nowej szydełkowej chuście z frędzlami - zrobiłam ostatnio także kilka sztuk dla większych panien. 

Back to dolls. Brianna poses in a new crochet shawl with tassels - I've also made a few pieces for bigger ladies recently.

Trawa jest zdecydowanie zieleńsza niż w lecie...

The grass is definitely greener than in the summer...

Ciekawe, czy te anomalie pogodowe są zapowiedzią kolejnego "ciekawego" roku. Oby nie...

Barbie Looks #1 i kolorowy melanż | Barbie Looks #1 and colorful melange

Za oknem pogoda, która o wiele lepiej pasowałaby do listopadowego dnia - szaro, buro, ponuro i leje jak z cebra. Na przekór temu pokażę Wam dwie rzeczy, które wydziergałam z kolorowej przędzy. Tak w ramach rozproszenia tej ponurej aury.

Outside the window, the weather would be much better suited to a November day - grey, dull, gloomy and raining heavily. In spite of this, I will show you two things that I crocheted from colorful yarn. Yes, as part of dispelling this gloomy aura.

Tytułowa panna występuje u mnie gościnnie - znów wypożyczyłam lalkę od Córki. ;) Barbie Looks #1 o moldzie Lina jest po prostu cudna. W dodatku Młodej trafił się egzemplarz z idealnym makijażem i bardzo ładnymi włosami. Aż troszeczkę zazdroszczę. ;)

The titular lady is a guest at my place - I borrowed the doll from my Daughter again. ;) Barbie Looks #1 with Lina head mold is simply wonderful. In addition, Daughter got a doll with perfect makeup and very nice hair. I must admit I envy a little. ;)

Wzór swetra jest już Wam znany - powstały do tej pory takie raglany w bieli i kolorze miętowym. Góra przy dekolcie zrobiona jest na bazie wzoru "Psotka" od Yaga Yaga Handmade (Facebook, Instagram).

Teraz wybrałam kolorowy melanż. Wspominałam już kiedyś, że przędze o krótkich przejściach kolorów są dosyć problematyczne, czasami wychodzi kompletna pstrokacizna i robótka prezentuje się raczej średnio. W tym przypadku zestawienie kolorów i układ barwnych plam na gotowym ubraniu wygląda całkiem przyjemnie dla oka.

The pattern of the sweater is already known to you - such raglans in white and mint have already been created. The top at the neckline is made on the basis of the "Psotka" pattern from Yaga Yaga Handmade (Facebook, Instagram).

Now I chose a colorful melange. I have already mentioned that yarns with short color transitions are quite problematic, sometimes they are completely motley and the ready piece looks rather poorly. In this case, the combination of colors and the arrangement of color patches on the finished garment looks quite pleasing to the eye.

Do tego delikatny makijaż modelki zgrał się z kolorami swetra wręcz doskonale.

In addition, the model's delicate make-up matched the colors of the sweater perfectly.

Drugim kolorowym elementem garderoby jest ponczo. W całości wykonane na bazie wzoru "Psotka" - jedynie przy dekolcie jest ściągacz, a cały brzeg narzutki wykończyłam jednym rzędem słupków.

Modelką, która wybrałam jako parę dla Looks #1, jest Millie z serii BMR1959. Jak już wielokrotnie tu pisałam, dla mnie najpiękniejsza odsłona tego moldu, jaką wydał Mattel. 

The second colorful element of the wardrobe is the poncho. Entirely made on the basis of the "Psotka" pattern - only at the neckline there is a welt, and the entire edge of the cape I finished with one row of double crochets.

The model I chose as a pair for Looks #1 is Millie from the BMR1959 series. As I have written many times here, for me the most beautiful version of this mold that Mattel has released.

Zarówno w przypadku swetra, jak i ponczo, zdecydowałam się połączyć je z jeansami. Kolorowy zawrót głowy melanżowej przędzy komponuje się z prostymi spodniami bardzo dobrze.

In the case of both the sweater and the poncho, I decided to combine them with jeans. The colorful vertigo of the melange yarn goes very well with the simple pants.

To by było tyle na dziś. Nie dajcie się ponurej pogodzie. Pozdrawiam Was gorąco!
