"Merida Waleczna" to jedna z moich ulubionych animacji Disneya. Ostatnio obejrzałam ją po raz kolejny, razem z 10-cioletnią obecnie Córą. I tym razem odebrałam ten film zupełnie inaczej. No cóż, powiem tylko, że mam gorącą nadzieję, że obejdzie się bez zamieniania we włochatą niedźwiedzicę, aby dobrze dogadywać się z moją latoroślą. ;)
Ale wiadomo, nie o filmie chciałam pisać. A o lalce. Do kupienia Meridy przymierzałam się od bardzo dawna. Jednak moja lalkowo-bajkowa faza trwa relatywnie krótko, a w dodatku wciąż nie mogłam się zdecydować, którą pannę wybrać. Bo... generalnie lalki przedstawiające rudowłosą buntowniczkę po prostu mi się nie podobają. Ostatecznie postanowiłam upolować sobie jakąś lalkę z drugiej ręki i przerobić ją po swojemu. Brałam pod uwagę tylko i wyłącznie te z Disney Store - wszystkie inne to już w ogóle koszmarki... Zależało mi tylko na tym, aby włosy były w przyzwoitym stanie i żeby patrzyła na wprost. Jak dla mnie wszystkie patrzące w bok mają po prostu kompletnie krzywe spojrzenie.
"Brave" is one of my favorite Disney animations. I recently watched it again, together with my currently 10-year-old Daughter. And this time I perceived the movie completely differently. Well, I'll just say that I fervently hope that I woln't have to turn into a hairy bear, so that I can get along well with my offspring. ;)
But of course, I didn't want to write about the movie. But about the doll. I'd been thinking about buying Merida for a very long time. However, my doll-fairytale phase lasts relatively short, and on top of that I still couldn't decide which girl to choose. Because... generally, I just don't like dolls depicting a red-haired rebel. In the end, I decided to hunt down a second-hand doll and modify her in my own way. I only considered those from the Disney Store - all the others are a nightmare in my opinion... All I cared about was that the hair was in decent condition and that she looked straight ahead. For me, all the ones looking to the side just have a completely crooked look.
Raz dwa przerzuciłam ją na ciało made to move (niestety pasuje purple top) i wzięłam się za kręcenie pukli. Aby uzyskać efekt nieposkromionej burzy loków zrobiłam misz-masz - kręciłam je w różne strony, na płasko i z dodatkowym skrętem wokół własnej osi.
I switched her on the made to move body (unfortunately purple top fits) and started curling the locks. To get the effect of an untamed storm of curls I made a mish-mash - I curled them in different directions, flat and with an additional twist around its own axis.
Następnie włożyłam je do wrzącej, lekko gotującej się wody na minutę, przelałam zimną wodą prosto z kranu, a później zostawiłam do wyschnięcia. Schła długo, bo prawie dwa dni. Kolejnym krokiem było zdjęcie pukli z "wałków". Każdy z nich dzieliłam delikatnie (palcami) na dwa albo trzy pasma. Efekt bezpośrednio po ich rozplątaniu wyglądał tak. xD
Then I put them in boiling, slightly simmering water for a minute, poured cold water straight from the tap, and then left them to dry. It dried for a long time, almost two days. The next step was to remove the locks from the "rollers". I divided each of them gently (with my fingers) into two or three strands. The effect immediately after unraveling them looked like this. xD
Trochę je ułożyłam, potraktowałam parą z żelazka (nie dotykając do włosów!) i ostatecznie burza rudych loków wygląda całkiem zadowalająco.
Domalowałam też piegi.
I styled them a bit, treated them with steam from an iron (without touching the hair!) and in the end the storm of red curls looks quite satisfactory.
I also painted freckles.
Początkiem roku (albo i wcześniej, nie bardzo pamiętam) kupiłam Angusa - konia Meridy. To jest jak dla mnie największy absurd wśród lalkowych koni. Angus był bowiem koniem rasy Shire, a to jedne z największych koni na świecie. Zaś jego plastikowa podobizna ma wielkość małego kuca... A szkoda, szkoda bardzo, bo generalnie jest naprawdę pięknie zrobiony i taki inny.
At the beginning of the year (or even earlier, I don't remember exactly) I bought Angus - Merida's horse. This is, for me, the biggest absurdity among doll horses. Angus was a Shire horse, and these are some of the largest horses in the world. And his plastic likeness is the size of a small pony... And it's a pity, a real pity, because he is really beautifully made and so different.
Mała łobuziara na drzewie jest zdecydowanie w swoim żywiole. ;)
The little rascal on the tree branch is definitely in her element. ;)
