Właśnie śmieję się do ekranu, bo ostatkiem sił powstrzymałam się, aby w tytule nie wpisać "Sułtanka Modliszka". :) Przydomek nadany przez Zurineczkę ogromnie mi się spodobał, ale stwierdziłam, że resztki powagi należy zachować. Choć o tej godzinie to nie łatwe. ;)
Oglądaliście kiedyś serial o Sułtanie Sulejmanie "Wspaniałe Stulecie"? Ogólnie jest dosyć nudny, jest to okropny tasiemiec (ponad 300 odcinków jak nie lepiej), ale ponoć samo tło historyczne jest dosyć rzetelnie pokazane (ja niestety z historii najlepsza nie jestem, więc się nie wypowiem). A że na tym tle rozgrywa się prawdziwa "Dynastia", to już inna sprawa.
No ale ja nie o intrygach serialowych chciałam pisać, a o kostiumach. Są naprawdę wspaniałe, a ich ilość powala na kolana. Tkaniny, zdobienia i biżuteria mogą spowodować oczopląs tudzież palpitację, takie są piękne.
Już od dawna nosiłam się z zamiarem uszycia czegoś na ich wzór dla lalek, padło na Evangelinę. Koraliki dojechały, kilka chwil wykradłam i na nią, dokończyłam.
Evangelina to naprawdę wdzięczna modelka. Udało mi się również nieco odświeżyć i ułożyć na nowo jej perukę, wygląda całkiem nieźle jak dla mnie.

Have you seen the series about Sultan Sulejman, 'The Magnificent Century'? Well, it's quite boring, extremly long (300 episodes or more) but I herd that the historical background is shown rather honestly (I'm not very good in history, so I can't confirm). And that on this background we have another 'Dynasty' - well, it's another story.
But I didn't want to write about all the intrigues in the series but about costumes. The are splendid and the number of them knocks you to your knees. Fabrics, ornaments and jewellery can cause nystagmus or heart attack, they are so gorgeous.
I was thinking for a very long time of sewing something inspired by those costumes for dolls. I chose Evangeline. Beads arrived, I stole few moments to finish the gown, and she's ready.
Evangeline is a very grateful model. I managed to refresh and restyle her wig a little, it looks pretty well I think.
Szycie gorsetu z tylu warstw (jest jeszcze podszewka) nie było łatwe, ale uparłam się na te tiule przy biuście. Bardzo mi się to podoba. Jestem też bardzo dumna z naszyjnika - jakoś wyjątkowo lubię perły jako biżuterię dla lalek.
Pas jest również ściągany, ma z przodu ażurowe zapięcie.
Sewing corset with so many layers (there is a lining too) wasn't easy but I insisted on the tule on her breast. I like this finish very much. I'm proud I did the necklace - I adore pearls as dolls jewellery.
Belt is removable, it has openwork buckle in front.
Problem mam z diademem, bo nie do końca wiem jak go przytwierdzić - na razie przypięłam go szpilkami do peruki. Może ktoś z Was ma jakieś opatentowane sposoby?
I have a little difficulties with the diadem, I'm ot sure how to pin it - I used pins and attached it to the wig. Maybe one of you has some tested methods?
