Dzisiejszy temat #monday4dolls, organizowanego przez Izę, @bella_belladoll, to "Las". Nie mogłam się wybrać na sesję w ten weekend (zresztą las i tak tonie w tej chwili w błocie...), wybrałam więc 10 zdjęć z ostatnich lat. Wybór nie był łatwy, bo leśnych sesji zrobiłam naprawdę wiele. Uwielbiam światło i cień, mchy i paprocie, moje ukochane wrzosy...

Today's #monday4dolls (hosted by Iza, @bella_belladoll) theme is "Forest". I couldn't go to take some photos this weekend (the forest is drowning in mud anyway...), so I chose 10 photos from recent years. The choice wasn't easy, because I did a lot of forest photoshoots. I love light and shadow, mosses and ferns, my beloved heather...

Letnie kadry | Summer frames

Od wczoraj wreszcie można normalnie funkcjonować - zrobiło się chłodniej, słońce przyjemnie grzeje, a nie smaży żywcem.

Uzbierałam trochę zdjęć z ostatnich dwóch tygodni. Część z nich publikowałam już na Instagramie i Facebooku, ale tradycyjnie wrzucam i tutaj.

Since yesterday, you can finally function normally - it got colder, and the sun is pleasantly warm, not frying alive.

A na koniec jeszcze uśmiechnięta Carnaval (The Barbie Look Nighttime Glamour). Dawno jej nie było, jakoś wciąż o niej zapominam... Nie wiem dlaczego, bo jest przecież tak piękną lalką...

Dziś tak króciutko, bo generalnie zasuwam przy maszynie i nie bardzo mam czas na cokolwiek więcej. Po weekendzie postaram się wrzucić podsumowanie ostatniego miesiąca w kwestii prac w Domu Zielarki. Mam nadzieję, że się uda.

Today it's so short, because I generally work at the sewing machine and I don't really have time for anything else. After the weekend, I will try to post a summary of the last month in terms of work at the Herbalist's Cottage. I hope I will manage.

Pożegnanie lata | Goodbye to summer

Lato co prawda może jeszcze się nie kończy (przynajmniej nie odpuszcza jeśli chodzi o upały), ale dziś jest ostatnia sobota letnich wakacji. A moje lalki imprezują z tej okazji w ogrodzie. ;)

Patrząc na Margaret (Mattel, Bellatrix Lestrange) z gitarą musiałam jako podkład muzyczny na dziś wybrać jedną z moich ulubionych piosenek - "Jolene" Dolly Parton. Musicie przyznać, że nawet jest pewne podobieństwo. ;)

Dolly jest niezwykle ciekawą postacią, legendą muzyki country. Czy wiecie, że napisała ponad 3 tysiące piosenek, w tym "I will always love you"? Tak, tak - tą, którą wszyscy kojarzą jednak nie z autorką, ale z Whitney Houston i filmem "Bodyguard".

Summer may not end yet (at least it doesn't let go when it comes to heat), but today is the last Saturday of summer holidays. And my dolls are having a garden party for the occasion. ;)

Looking at Margaret (Mattel, Bellatrix Lestrange) with guitar, I had to choose one of my favorite songs as background music - "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. You have to admit there is even some similarity. ;)

Dolly is an extremely interesting character, a country music legend. Did you know that she wrote over 3,000 songs, including "I will always love you"? Yes, yes - the one that everyone associates not with the author, but with Whitney Houston and the movie "Bodyguard".

Udało mi się upchnąć w dioramie dziesięć panien. Nieźle, biorąc pod uwagę, że wymiary altany nie są jakieś imponujące. ;)

Obok Margaret siedzi Kim (made to move joga, w kwiecistych legginsach). Następnie rudowłosa Kate, (Mattel, Lady Tremaine). Ciemnowłosa panna po lewej to Barbie Basics z drugiej serii o numerze 14 i headmoldzie Louboutin. W sumie nadal bezimienna.

I managed to put ten ladies into the diorama. Not bad considering the gazebo dimensions aren't that impressive. ;)

This time I took photos before dark. And when it comes to colors, I'm satisfied with this photoshoot.

Na koniec jeszcze panny na zdjęciu pamiątkowym, wszystkie w szyfonowych kiecach z letniej kolekcji. Jak to dobrze, że lalki nie marudzą, że poszły na imprezę w sukienkach o tym samym kroju. Mało tego, w dodatku w zdublowanych kolorach. xD

Finally, there are the ladies in the souvenir photo, all of them in chiffon dresses from the summer collection. How good it is that the dolls don't complain that they went to the party in dresses of the same cut. Not only that! Also in duplicate colors. xD

Letnie różności | Summer miscellaneous

Szybkie podsumowanie w połowie lata. Uszyłam mnóstwo sukienek z haftowanego batystu. Najwięcej w bieli i to one rozpoczną ten wpis. Powyżej moja plastikowa ekipa prezentuje część z nich. Jak widać biel pasuje każdej z nich. :)

Poniżej zaś jeszcze panna Totally Hair, również w bieli. 

A quick summary in mid-summer. I sewed a lot of anglaise broderie cotton dresses. Most in white and they will start this entry. Above, my plastic team presents some of them. As you can see, white suits each of them. :)

W ostatnim czasie zastanawiałam się nad sprzedażą kilku lalek. Podjęcie decyzji wciąż i wciąż odkładałam, nie mając pewności, czy ja je chcę, czy nie. Z jednej strony nie do końca pasują do mojej ekipy, z drugiej - to lalki z tych lepszych lat Mattela. Pięknie pomalowane, bez bubli, włosy wszyte jak należy... Takich już nie ma. Nawet te najpiękniejsze ze współczesnych zawsze, ale to zawsze mają jakieś "ale".

Ostatecznie problem sam się rozwiązał. Udało mi się kupić kilka ciałek made to move w bardzo fajnej cenie i postanowiłam uruchomić panny z lat 90-tych i pierwszej dekady dwutysięcznych. To był strzał w dziesiątkę. Na pierwszy rzut poszły panny Cali Girl Horseback Riding. Akurat mam całe trio. Wszystkie dostały ciałka w mniej więcej tym samym kolorze - Lea i Barbie od made to move w kwiecistych legginsach, z koczkiem (FTG82), a Summer od wysokiej koszykarki (FXPO6). We wszystkich trzech przypadkach ciałka są odrobinę jaśniejsze, ale wydaje mi się, że to i tak najlepsze dostępne dopasowanie. Pewnie lepszą dawczynią byłaby skaterka, ale te lalki są trudno dostępne, a w dodatku kosztują swoje. 

Recently, I was thinking about selling a few dolls. I put off making decisions over and over again, not sure if I wanted them or not. On the one hand, they don't exactly match my team, on the other - they are dolls from Mattel's better years. Beautifully painted, no rubbish, hair rooted properly... There are no more. Even the most beautiful of the new dolls always, always have a "but".

Ultimately, the problem resolved itself. I was able to buy a few made to move bodies at a very nice price and I decided to switched girls from the 90s and the first decade of the 2000s. It was a bull's eye. The Cali Girl Horseback Riding ladies went first. I have the whole trio. They all got bodies in more or less the same color - Lea and Barbie from made to move doll in floral leggings, with a hair bun (FTG82), and Summer from a tall basketball player (FXPO6). In all three cases, the bodies are a little bit lighter in color, but I think that's the best match available anyway. A skateboarder would probably be a better donor, but these dolls are hard to get, and they cost quite a lot.

Lea i Kayla z serii Amazing Nails (tylny rząd, dwie od lewej) już od dawna były na ruchomych ciałkach. Moja lalka z dzieciństwa, Workin' Out Barbie 1996 (blondynka w tylnym rzędzie) doczekała się swojego. Została też i uległa uruchomieniu Horse Riding Barbie 1997 (tylny rząd, pierwsza z prawej) - to jedna z ładniejszych Superstarek o pięknych, brązowych włosach.

Tak się prezentuje całe stadko vintage (w sumie można je tak nazwać, wszystkie mają powyżej 20 lat). Z okazji zbiorowej foty zrobiłam im jeszcze wianki z papierowych róż. ;)

Pasowałoby jeszcze znaleźć ciałko mtm dla Totalki, ale chwilowo budżet został przekierowany na inne zakupy. ;)

Lea and Kayla from the Amazing Nails series (back row, two from left) have been on mtm bodies for a long time. My childhood doll, Workin 'Out Barbie 1996 (blonde in the back row) has got hers. Horse Riding Barbie 1997 (back row, first from right) was also left and got her new body - this is one of the prettiest Superstars with beautiful brown hair.

This is what the whole vintage crew looks like (I think you can call them that, they are all over 20 years old). On the occasion of the group photo, I also made wreaths of paper roses for them. ;)

It would still be nice to find a mtm body for Totally, but temporarily the budget was redirected to other purchases. ;)

Szyłam też sporo szyfonowych spódnic wszelakich, ale jakoś nie zrobiłam zbyt wielu zdjęć. Dwie panny o moldzie Lea pokażą Wam wersje mini i maxi w błękitach. Panna z kręconymi włosami to Glam Night Lea po zmianie fryzury.

I also sewed a lot of chiffon skirts of all kinds, but somehow I didn't take too many photos. Two Leas will show you the mini and maxi versions in sky blue. The curly haired girl is Glam Night Lea after a hairstyle change.

A na koniec jeszcze Morgana (Barbie Looks #11, headmold Heide) w błękitach. Te zdjęcia zrobiłam przy okazji sesji w sukni ślubnej, a wpasowały się idealnie w dzisiejszy #monday4dolls o temacie "Shades of blue" (odcienie niebieskiego).

W ogrodzie wieczorową porą | In the garden in the evening time

Czas tuż przed zachodem słońca to w obecnej chwili jedyny moment, gdy można wyjść na zewnątrz i złapać oddech. W ciągu dnia każde wyjście wiąże się z tym, że po pierwszych dwóch krokach człowiek zaczyna żałować, że opuścił cztery ściany. Jakby żywcem wejść do piekarnika...

Nie mówię oczywiście, że wieczór był chłodny. Co najwyżej określiłabym go mianem "znośny". 

The time just before sunset is the only time right now when you can go outside and catch your breath. During the day, each exit is associated with the fact that after the first two steps a person begins to regret leaving four walls. As if to enter the oven alive...

Of course, I'm not saying that the evening was cool. At best, I would call it "bearable". 

Lalki nie marudzą, pozują bez względu na upał czy komary (to druga po upałach rzecz, której nie znoszę w lecie...). 

Gwiazdą dzisiejszego wpisu jest Amazing Nails Lea z roku 2001. Trafiła do mnie dopiero co (czerwiec był dla mnie miesiącem lalkowych okazji ;)), od razu przeskoczyła na artykułowane ciałko i zapozowała do zdjęć.

A zapozowała na ławce ogrodowej od Butterfly Family Miniatures trzymając w rękach książkę zrobioną przez Igę z bloga Aya w Świecie Lalek. :)

The dolls don't whine, they pose regardless of the heat or mosquitoes (this is the second thing after hot weather that I hate in summer...). 

The star of today's post is Amazing Nails Lea 2001. She just came to me (June was a month of doll bargains for me ;)), she jumped on an articulated body and posed for photos.

And she posed on a garden bench from Butterfly Family Miniatures, holding in her hands a book made by Iga from Aya in Dolls' World blog. :)

Seria Amazing Nails Mattela składała się z czterech lalek: Kayli, Christie, Barbie i Lei. I choć Lea od zawsze podobała mi się najbardziej z tego kwartetu, to nie była jednak jedną z tych lalek, na które potrafię polować miesiącami (a czasami i dłużej). Po prostu... przytrafiła się. :) I tym sposobem mam już dwie panny z tej serii, bo kiedyś, kiedyś trafiła do mnie Kayla.

Ma przepięknie namalowane oczy. Co do ust wciąż zastanawiam się, czy nie zmienić ich koloru, bo nie przepadam za tak wyraźną konturówką. Waham się jednak w kwestii machnięcia pędzlem, a ponieważ nie mam pewności, to na razie nie tykam. Makijaż w każdym razie jest piękny, staranny i równy, typowy dla lat '90 i początku dwutysięcznych. Nie wiem jak w przypadku pozostałych trzech panien z serii (bo moja Kayla jest po reroocie), ale Lea ma włosy z cienkiego, sypkiego kanekalonu. Na szczęście takiego lepszej jakości, bo zdarzały się włosy typu "siano" w tamtym okresie. 

The Amazing Nails from Mattel's series consisted of four dolls: Kayla, Christie, Barbie and Lea. And while Lea has always been my favorite of this quartet, she wasn't one of those dolls that I can hunt for months (and sometimes longer). She just... happened. :) And this way I already have two girls from this series, because once upon a time, Kayla came to me.

She has beautifully painted eyes. As for the lips, I'm still wondering whether I should changed their colour, because I don't like such a visible liner. But I'm hesitant about catching the brush, and since I'm unsure, I'm not touching it yet. The makeup is beautiful, neat and even, typical of the '90s and early 2000s. I don't know about the other three girls in the series (because my Kayla is rerooted), but Lea has hair made of fine, loose kanekalon. Fortunately, of better quality, because there were some "hay" hairs at that time.

To dla mnie jedna z najpiękniejszych wersji tego moldu. Wzdycham jeszcze do Lei #5 z serii Basic 002, panny z serii DOTW China 2011, Happy New Year Oshogatsu Barbie i Rhapsody in New York. Ale szczerze wątpię, aby kiedykolwiek udało mi się zdobyć którąkolwiek z wymienionych, bo nie dość, że są trudno dostępne, to jeszcze osiągają absolutnie kosmiczne ceny.

Na szczęście mam na swojej półce kilka lalek o tym moldzie, również należących do jednych z najładniejszych przedstawicielek tej grupy. Muszę kiedyś pomyśleć o jakiejś sesji zbiorczej. Z pewnością kojarzycie Leę Night Time Glamour, która jest jedną z najczęściej pojawiających się na blogu lalek. Ale jest też Lea purple top, Cali Girl Horseback Riding Lea i wspomniana już Kayla Amazing Nails (technicznie to ten samo mold). Było jeszcze kilka innych, ale już nie mieszkają w Kameliowej pracowni. ;)

This is one of the most beautiful versions of this mold for me. I also sigh to Lea #5 from the Basic 002 series, the ladies from the DOTW China 2011 series, Happy New Year Oshogatsu Barbie and Rhapsody in New York. But I sincerely doubt that I will ever get any of these, because not only are they hard to get, but they also reach absolutely insane prices.

Fortunately, I have several dolls with this head mold on my shelf, also belonging to one of the most beautiful representatives of this group. I have to think about some collective session sometime. You certainly know Lea Night Time Glamour, which is one of the dolls appearing most often on the blog. But there is also Lea purple top, Cali Girl Horseback Riding Lea and the mentioned before Kayla Amazing Nails (technically it's the same mold). There were a few others, but they no longer live in the Kamelia's atelier. ;)

Jeśli ktoś jest ciekawy nazwy rośliny w doniczce, to Ledebouria (nie mam niestety pewności, która odmiana - stawiam na L. cooperi). W tym roku bardzo marnie kwitła, miała dwa małe pędy z kilkoma kwiatami. Ale ma bardzo dekoracyjne liście, więc i bez kwiatów jest piękną ozdobą. 

If anyone is curious about the name of the plant in the pot, it is Ledebouria (unfortunately I'm not sure which variety - I bet on L. cooperi). This year it bloomed very poorly, had two small shoots with a few flowers. But it has very decorative leaves, so without flowers it is still a beautiful decoration.

Sukienka Lei to znany Wam już fason - szyłam ją w wersji błękitnej i brudnego różu. A także w wersji dla BJD w skali 1/4. Mimo tego, że używam tego samego wykroju, sukienki prezentują się za każdym razem trochę inaczej dzięki różnym wersjom haftu. 

Lea's dress is a cut you already know - I sewed it in light blue and dirty pink. And also in the version for BJD in 1/4 scale. Despite the fact that I use the same pattern, the dresses look a little different each time thanks to different versions of the embroidery.

Dodatkowo uszyłam także sukienkę w rozmiarze plus, dla panien na ciałku curvy. Nie mogłam wybrać innej modelki niż Carnaval (The Barbie Look Nighttime Glamour).

In addition, I also sewed a plus size dress for the ladies on the curvy body. I couldn't choose a model other than Carnaval (The Barbie Look Nighttime Glamor).
