Wiedźmi Świat, Na szlaku | Witch World, On the trail

W poprzednim wpisie wspomniałam o tym, jak zaczął się projekt Wiedźmi Świat. Wcześniejsze fragmenty historii możecie przeczytać na blogu Jo o takim samym tytule. Dziś zaczęłam robić zdjęcia do tego fragmentu przygód małych wiedźm (i nie tylko), które będą rozgrywać się w mojej części wiedźmiego uniwersum. Zapraszam!

NA SZLAKU.
Zmartwiona Linette zerknęła na swoją panią.
- Lady Elaine, wszystko w porządku?
- Nie, moja droga. Nic nie jest w porządku.

In my previous post I mentioned how the Witch World project began. You can read earlier fragments of the story on Jo's blog of the same title. Today I started taking photos for this fragment of the adventures of the little witches (and others) that will take place in my part of the witch universe. Come join me!

ON THE TRAIL.
Worried, Linette glanced at her mistress.
- Lady Elaine, are you all right?
- No, my dear. Nothing is all right.

Przyboczna z niepokojem przyglądała się Lady. Była bardzo blada, zmęczona. Długa i pełna przeciwności losu podróż zaczynała odbijać swoje piętno na jej twarzy, choć Lady Elaine była naprawdę niezłomną kobietą.
- Jak Mona?
- Gorzej. Ma gorączkę... Mam nadzieję, że Albert znajdzie jakąś gospodę. Nie możemy spędzić kolejnej nocy na trakcie.
Linette mruknęła coś niezrozumiale na wzmiankę o dowódcy straży zamkowej. Miała na jego temat swoje własne zdanie, ale nie chciała denerwować Lady.

The Adjutant watched Lady anxiously. She was very pale, tired. The long and adversity-filled journey was beginning to show on her face, although Lady Elaine was a truly steadfast woman.
- How is Mona?
- Worse. She has a fever... I hope Albert finds an inn. We can't spend another night on the road.
Linette mumbled something incomprehensible at the mention of the castle guard commander. She had her own opinion on the subject, but she didn't want to upset Lady.

- O. O wilku mowa. Wrócił wreszcie. - zauważyła Linette, odwracając się na dźwięk tętentu kopyt.

- Oh. Talk about a wolf. He's finally back. - Linette noticed, turning at the sound of hoofbeats.

Kobiety podeszły niezwłocznie do dwóch mężczyzn. Starszy z nich, Hector, był zarządcą zamku Percivala - Wielkiego Maga i brata Lady Elaine. Młodszy, wyraźnie zmęczony, skłonił się przed Lady.
- Wiecie wreszcie, gdzie właściwie jesteśmy? - zapytała ostro Lady Elaine.

The women immediately approached the two men. The older of them, Hector, was the steward of Percival's castle - the Great Mage and Lady Elaine's brother. The younger, clearly tired, bowed to the Lady.
- Do you finally know where we actually are? - Lady Elaine asked sharply.

Młody dowódca skłonił się jeszcze niżej i westchnął.
- Nie do końca, pani. Zupełnie nie znam tych stron. Obawiam się, że na poprzednim rozwidleniu dróg wybraliśmy zły kierunek... Tu nie ma nic. Zupełnie nic. Dopiero kilka mil dalej zobaczyłem na horyzoncie dachy jakiegoś miasteczka. Nie dojechałem do niego, nie chciałem zajeździć konia. 

The young commander bowed even lower and sighed.
- Not really, my lady. I don't know this land at all. I'm afraid we took the wrong direction at the previous fork in the road... There's nothing here. Absolutely nothing. It wasn't until a few miles later that I saw the roofs of some town on the horizon. I didn't get there, I didn't want to ride my horse out.

Lady Elaine odwróciła się do brodatego mężczyzny. 

- Hectorze. Wiesz, co to za miasteczko?

- Nie, Lady Elaine. Ja również nigdy tu nie byłem. Do Korundii zawsze jeździłem Południowym Traktem. Ten cholerny most... No ale zawalił się, co poradzić. Wiem tylko, że opuściliśmy granice Ravenii jakiś czas temu.

- Świetnie. Po prostu świetnie..

Lady Elaine turned to the bearded man.

- Hector. Do you know what town this is?

- No, Lady Elaine. I've never been here either. I've always taken the Southern Road to Korundia. That damn bridge... But it collapsed, what can you do. All I know is that we left the borders of Ravenia some time ago.

- Great. Simply great..

Lady Elaine odwróciła twarz, żeby nie pokazać, jak bardzo jest zawiedziona wieściami, które przywiózł Albert. Zapytała tylko:
- Dotrzemy tam dzisiaj?
- Jeśli wyruszymy natychmiast, jest szansa - odparł młodzieniec.

Lady Elaine turned her face away so as not to show how disappointed she was with the news Albert had brought. She only asked:
- Will we get there today?
- If we leave immediately, there's a chance - the young man replied.

- Zatem nie ma na co czekać. Mam nadzieję, że znajdziemy w tym miasteczku zielarkę. Mona musi dostać jakieś lekarstwo. Zbierajcie się!

- Then there's no point in waiting. I hope we can find a herbalist in this town. Mona needs some medicine. Get together!

Albert, zmartwiony, podszedł do powozu.

- Lady Elaine, dasz radę powozić? 

- O mnie się nie martw. Dam sobie radę. Ruszajcie się.

Albert, worried, approached the carriage.

- Lady Elaine, can you drive?

- Don't worry about me. I can manage. Get going.

Albert chciał coś jeszcze powiedzieć, ale morderczy wzrok Linette zamknął mu usta. Ależ nie znosił tej zarozumiałej dziewczyny... Wrócił do swojego konia, sprawdził popręg i westchnął. Miał nadzieję, że dojadą do miasteczka przed zmrokiem. I że nie złapie ich kolejna ulewa...

Ciąg dalszy nastąpi. Pozdrawiam Was gorąco!

Albert wanted to say something else, but Linette's murderous gaze stopped him. How he hated that arrogant girl... He went back to his horse, checked the girth, and sighed. He hoped they would reach the town before dark. And that they wouldn't get caught in another downpour...

Harry Potter Design Collection – Albus Dumbledore

To imponujące pudełko przybyło do mnie zza oceanu w styczniu. Znajoma przysłała mi niespodziankę, która dotarła akurat w okolicy moich urodzin. Uwierzcie, zaniemówiłam, gdy zobaczyłam co dla mnie wybrała... Dawno nie byłam tak wzruszona.

This impressive box arrived from overseas in January. A friend sent me a surprise that arrived just around my birthday. Believe me, I was speechless when I saw what she chose for me... I haven't been so moved for a long time.

Oprócz tego w paczce były jeszcze bluzy dla naszych Mini, mojej i Córy. Mówię Wam, odebrało mi mowę, a to się zbyt często nie zdarza. ;)

In addition, the package also included sweatshirts for our Minis, mine and my Daughter's. I'm telling you, I was speechless, and that doesn't happen very often. ;)

Wracamy jednak do imponującego pudełka. Zarówno z zewnątrz, jak i w środku prezentuje się bardzo elegancko. A jego zawartość jest niezwykle interesująca. W zeszłym roku, z okazji 100-nej rocznicy założenia Warner Bros. wydano trzy lalki w ramach Harry Potter Design Collection: Harry'ego, Voldemorta i Albusa. I tego ostatniego właśnie mam okazję Wam zaprezentować.

Well, let's return to the impressive box. Both outside and inside of it look very elegant. And its content is extremely interesting. Last year, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. three dolls were released as part of the Harry Potter Design Collection: Harry, Voldemort and Albus. And this is the last one I have the opportunity to present to you.

Zanim jednak przejdę do zdjęć po wyjęciu go z pudła, krótka "rozmowa" z moją ulubioną małą wiedźmą, Margaret (Mattel, Bellatrix Lestrange). Wiadomo przecież, że nie mogła przejść obojętnie... ;)

- A co to ma niby być?

- Cześć Margaret. To jest przyszły czarodziej w naszym wiedźmim uniwersum.

- I po co ci on?

- Eee... Przyda nam się.

- Niby do czego? Sama powiedziałaś, że to wiedźmie uniwersum.

However, before I move on to the photos after taking him out of the box, a short "conversation" with my favorite little witch, Margaret (Mattel, Bellatrix Lestrange). It is obvious that she couldn't remain unintrested... ;)

- What is this supposed to be?

- Hello Margaret. This is the future wizard in our witch universe.

- And why do you need him?

- Er... We'll need him.

- For what? You said it yourself, it's a witch universe.

- No tak. Ale może będzie miał coś do zaoferowania.

- Tak sądzisz? Jakoś tego nie widzę. Niby co mógłby wnieść do mojego świata? 

- Może jakiś porządny księgozbiór? Wiedzę?

- Yes, that's true. But maybe he will have something to offer.

- You think so? Somehow I don't see it. What could he bring to my world?

- Maybe a good collection of books? Knowledge?

- I myślisz, że to jest wystarczający argument, żeby go przygarniać? Naprawdę?

- Margaret, zrozum, potrzeba nam więcej postaci. Żeby jakoś urozmaicić.

- A, rób co chcesz...

- And do you think this is a sufficient argument to keep him? Really?

- Margaret, understand, we need more characters. To make the things intresting somehow.

- Oh, do what you want...

- Hej, dokąd idziesz? Nie pomożesz mi uwolnić go z tego pudła?

- To twój czarodziej. Radź sobie sama...

- Hey, where are you going? Won't you help me get him out of this box?

- This is your wizard. Go on your own...

Jesteście zaskoczeni? Bo ja nie. xD

Wypakowałam więc Albusa z pudła. Oprócz lalki był tam certyfikat i stojak. Siodełkowy. Da się. Jak ja bym chciała, żeby Mattel wprowadził tego typu stojaki do powszechnego użytku zamiast tych, które pękają od samego patrzenia... 

Strój Dumbledora jest całkiem fajny. Płaszcz ma haft i ozdobne taśmy jako wykończenia rękawów i kołnierza. Miła odmiana po drukowanych ceratach. 

Are you surprised? Because I don't. xD

So I unpacked Albus from the box. In addition to the doll, there was a certificate and a stand. Saddle stand. Really. How I wish Mattel would introduce this type of stands into common use instead of the ones that break just by looking at them...

Dumbledore's outfit is pretty cool. The coat has embroidery and decorative tapes on the sleeves and collar. A nice change from printed oilcloths.

Szata spodnia już niestety nie sprawia tak dobrego wrażenia. Owszem, ma przyszyte guziki. Ale tylko górna część jest uszyta z fajnego materiału. Rękawy i dół zrobili z wspomnianej wyżej ceraty...

Unfortunately, the underwear doesn't make such a good impression. Yes, it has buttons sewn on. But only the upper part is made of good fabric. They made the sleeves and bottom from the oilcloth mentioned above...

Za to buty ma ekstra. xD

But he has cool shoes. xD

Po zdjęciu nakrycia głowy można przyjrzeć się twarzy - dla mnie w tej chwili wygląda wypisz wymaluj jak Gandalf, ale może to tylko odczucie. xD

Moim zdaniem wąsy rootowane są odrobinę za nisko, ale może uda mi się je lekko podnieść, jak już wezmę się za poprawianie fryzury. Generalnie broda z prawdziwych włosów jest naprawdę świetna. 

After removing the headgear, you can take a closer look at the face - to me he looks like Gandalf, but maybe it's just my feeling. xD

In my opinion, the rooted mustache is a bit too low, but maybe I can raise it a little when I start fixing his hair. Overall, a rooted beard is really great.

Ułożenie nowej fryzury nie było takie łatwe, jakby się mogło wydawać. Ale ostatecznie jestem bardzo zadowolona z efektu. Chciałam nadać Albusowi nieco groźniejszy wygląd, tak aby bardziej kojarzył się z magiem bojowym niż starym czarnoksiężnikiem siedzącym w zakurzonej wierzy. ;)

Dostał też nowe imię - Ragnvald. 

Styling a new hairstyle wasn't as easy as it might seem. But in the end I'm very happy with the result. I wanted to give Albus a slightly more menacing look, to make him look more like a battle mage than an old wizard sitting in a dusty tower. ;)

He also got a new name - Ragnvald.

Strój również uszyłam taki, aby odejść nieco od wizerunku stereotypowego czarodzieja z bajki. Składa się ze spodni, koszuli z dekoracyjnymi mankietami, tuniki oraz płaszcza (będzie na kolejnych zdjęciach).

I also made the outfit to move away from the image of a stereotypical fairy tale wizard. It consists of pants, a shirt with decorative cuffs, a tunic and a cloak (will be in the next photos).

Zrobiłam jeszcze zdjęcie porównujące dwóch Dumbledorów - z linii playline i kolekcjonerskiej. Niby ta sama postać, a jednak wyglądają zupełnie inaczej.

I also took a photo comparing two Dumbledores - from the playline and the collector's line. The same character, but they look completely different.

I tym razem pogoda nie ułatwiła mi zadania (tak samo jak w przypadku innej sesji, z Albusem w roli emerytowanego prawnika). Cały dzień mżyło, dopiero wieczorem przestało padać, ale nadal było dość pochmurnie. 

This time the weather didn't make it easier for me again (just like in the case of the other session, with Albus as a retired lawyer). It was drizzling all day, it stopped raining only in the evening, but it was still quite cloudy.

I tu jestem ciekawa, czy Was trochę zaskoczę w kwestiach obsady postaci. ;) Tak mi wyszło, że Ragnvald będzie tworzył bardzo ładną parę z Kate (Mattel, Lady Tremaine). A ponieważ jakoś tak ciągnie mnie do skandynawskich imion, postanowiłam zmienić Kate na Tove.

And here I'm curious whether I will surprise you a bit in terms of the cast of characters. ;) It turned out that Ragnvald would make a very nice couple with Kate (Mattel, Lady Tremaine). And since I'm somehow drawn to Scandinavian names, I decided to change Kate to Tove.

Dwie wikińskie panny | Two Viking maidens

Pokażę Wam dzisiaj dwa stroje w wikińskich klimatach. Modelkami zostały Sigrun (Barbie Extra #20) oraz Perla, jedna z sióstr Małej Syrenki. Postanowiłam jej jednak zmienić imię na Ingrid.

Today I'm going to show you two Viking costumes. The models were Sigrun (Barbie Extra #20) and Perla, one of the Little Mermaid's sisters. However, I decided to change her name to Ingrid.

Sigrun po raz drugi występuje w takiej kreacji. Pierwszy raz przywdziała wikiński strój podczas zimowej sesji w lutym. Tak jak i wtedy, jej ubiór ma głównie niebieskie elementy. Jedynie suknia spodnia jest w brązach, ale już krajki dodałam błękitne. Uszyłam ją z bawełnianego batystu i dodałam delikatny ścieg łańcuszkowy na ozdobę. Suknia wierzchnia z chabrowego lnu ma krajkę z taśmy tkanej w pasujących kolorach. Wełniany płaszcz wykończony sztucznym futrem w szarościach dopełnia całości.

Sigrun appears in such a creation for the second time. She donned her Viking outfit for the first time during a winter shoot in February. As then, her clothing has mostly blue elements. Only the underdress is brown, but I added blue trims. I sewed it from cotton batiste and added a delicate chain stitch for decoration. The overdress in cornflower blue linen has a trims of woven tape in matching colours. A woolen coat finished with faux fur in gray completes the whole.

Ingrid dostał suknię spodnią z wiskozy o fantastycznym splocie, przypomina lnianą tkaninę (przymknijcie więc proszę oko na niepoprawność historyczną ;)). Ogromnie podoba mi się też ten nieokreślony kolor wpadający w fiolety. Wykończyłam ją krajką z tkaniny, której składu tak do końca nie jestem pewna, bo kupowałam ją wieki temu. Ale splotem i wyglądem nie odbiega od wymogów danej epoki, a jej kolor bardzo mi pasował do tego stroju. Tu też wyhaftowałam delikatny wzór łańcuszkiem. Suknia wierzchnia jest lniana, krajka znów z taśmy tkanej. Płaszcz z zielonej wełny i brązowego sztucznego futra.

Ingrid got a viscose underdress with a fantastic weave, reminiscent of linen fabric (so please turn a blind eye to historical incorrectness ;)). I also really like this indefinite color falling into violets. I finished it with a trim of fabric, the composition of which I'm not entirely sure, because I bought it ages ago. But the weave and appearance do not differ from the requirements of a given era, and its color suited me very well to this outfit. Here I also embroidered a delicate pattern with a chain. The overdress is made of linen, the trims are again made of woven tape. I made the coat of green wool and brown faux fur.

Oczywiście płaszcze tylko na pokaz do sesji, obecna pogoda zdecydowanie nie wymaga tego elementu stroju. ;) Po niebie co prawda goniły chmury, jedna za drugą. Udało mi się wstrzelić z tą sesją w dosłownie kilkugodzinne okno pogodowe. Teraz, gdy piszę ten wpis, za oknem szaleje mi ulewa i zbliża się kolejna burza. Ech, nie ma umiaru ta pogoda. Wczorajszy grad położył mi w ogrodzie sporo roślin. Ulewne deszcze powodują sporo problemów. Na szczęście mieszkam w dosyć bezpiecznym miejscu, ale np. u mojej znajomej zalało ostatnio piwnice, a na niedalekich ulicach płynęła prawdziwa rzeka...

Of course, coats are only for show for the session, the current weather definitely does not require this element of the outfit. ;) There were clouds chasing the sky, one after the other. I managed to shoot this session into a literally several-hour weather window. Right now, as I write this post, it's pouring rain outside my window and another storm is approaching. This weather is unbearable. Yesterday's hail damaged a lot of plants in my garden. Heavy rains cause a lot of problems. Fortunately, I live in a fairly safe place, but for example, my friend's basement recently flooded, and a real river flowed in the nearby streets...

Konie od Sindy Pedigree z lat 70-tych to zdecydowanie moje ulubione wierzchowce dla barbiowatych. One rzeczywiście są w skali 1/6.

Sindy Pedigree horses from the 70's are by far my favorite mounts for Barbie dolls. They are actually 1/6 scale.

Obie panny mają także "brosze" przy sukniach spodnich. W obu przypadkach użyłam ozdobnych guzików. Reszta biżuterii to szklane koraliki przeróżnych rodzajów i drobne metalowe zawieszki.

Both girls also have "brooches" on their overdresses. In both cases I used decorative buttons. The rest of the jewelry is glass beads of various types and small metal pendants.

I znów pełne słońce. A w tle widać zbierające się burzowe chmury.

And full sun again. Storm clouds are gathering in the background.

To tyle na dziś. Nadal nie mam kiedy nadrobić wizyty na Waszych blogach. Ale postaram się, jak tylko znajdę choć odrobinę wolnego czasu.
